Will Taylor and Strings Attached tirelessly continues its tradition of re-creating the music of America's greatest songwriters with its next concert, the Songs of Patti Griffin.  Brand new arrangements newly penned by Taylor along with several great local vocalists will bring alive new interpretations of Patti's music.  The strings of Will Taylor, Cellist Shawn Sanders, veteran musician Steve Zirkel's trumpet, piano and bass playing come together to backup four stellar voices of the Austin songwriting scene: Molly Venter, Suzanna Choffel, Marc Utter, and Michael Shay.  Opening the show solo will be Aimee BoBruk.
In addition to our Friday Strings Attached performance in Austin (Feb. 19th at St. David's), we are privileged to be offering this show in a blissfully intimate house concert performance on Saturday, March 1, in North Austin.  Thanks to Lynn Cameron for hosting the show at her wonderful home.  Light food and appetizers will be available as will complimentary tea, sodas and water.  Only 60  seats are available for this acoustic performance at $50/ticket.   We have also created a new VIP ticket for those you who are interested in a behind the scenes experience.  See the website for more information.

Some Songs we'll be performing:  Rain, Mil Besos, Tommorow Night, Chief, Making Pies, Mary, Goodbye, Heavenly Day, Be Careful, Truth #2 and more.

- - - Words about Strings Attached - - -
" One thing Taylor's group is best at is bringing out undiscovered nuances from the songs of others, and the String-benders' magic was in full bloom, especially on the two-stepping "Memorial Day" and a jam that approached liftoff in the middle of "Choctaw Bingo."  - Jim Caligiuri about show with James McMurtry

I love violin and was elated to discover my new favorite violinist! Can you say Jean Luc Ponty...well if you can't and you haven't heard Will play then go expecting way to much and you will still find your self with your mouth hanging open. Not only can Will solo like a mother, he understands the nuances of electric violin which makes the whole live rock band experience have a deeper more ancient feeling. "  - Fred Mitchum

"I was hooked and drawn in from the first few bars of Choffel's urban and soulful sound. Her music styles are varied from quiet and introspective to politically motivated stories written to a jazz beat with vocal and rhythm arrangements reminiscent of a female version of Sting."  - Sharman Petri, Music promoter
