1. She was born in Bristol, Connecticut
2. When she was 10 years old, she found her grandpa's long-forgotten old Gibson guitar in the attic
3. She attended Long Island University and trained in theater and voice
4. Before moving to Austin to work full time in music, she worked with American Folklore Theater in Wisconsin for 7 years as an actor and musical director/composer
5. She toured with Celtic superstars, "Cherish the Ladies" in 2005
